Insightful Exploration: The Role of Identity in Organisational Agility and Knowledge Management by Dr. Neha Chatwani

In Organisational Agility: Exploring the Impact of Identity on Knowledge Management, I delve into the intricate relationship between organisational identity and knowledge management within the framework of agility. My exploration reveals that organisational agility - the capacity to anticipate and respond effectively to environmental changes -heavily relies on how knowledge is managed and flows within an organisation.

I argue that an organisation’s identity has a profound effect on its knowledge management practices. I examine how an organisation’s self-perception and collective identity shape its methods of knowledge acquisition, dissemination, and application. By viewing agility through this identity lens, I uncover how organisational identity impacts responsiveness and adaptability in times of change.

Utilising a cross-disciplinary approach, I integrate insights from various fields to present a fresh perspective on change management and agility. My book challenges conventional views by highlighting the crucial role of identity in shaping knowledge flows and, consequently, the organisation’s ability to stay agile.

For students, researchers, and practitioners seeking to understand the complex interplay between organisational identity and agility, this book offers valuable insights.
